CAMPING SEASON IS UPON US!

Kumbaya and Marshmallows - Singalong!
Adorably Surly by Jamil Ammar

This PPT-PRO based on a customer's drawing, features two "porticos" each with it's own roman blind and performance "slit" in the bottom. The porticos can be folded against the frame when not in use. It also features two performace slits under the curved playboard. We look forward to photos of it in use this summer!

Kristen den Hartog
nominated for the Trillium Prize

Friend and Neighbour Kristen den Hartog has been nominated for the Trillium Prize for and me among them. Read it, it's wonderful.

The Trillium Book Award for Poetry has gone to the province’s emerging poets since 2003. Only first, second, or third published works are eligible, with separate awards for English and French languages. Past winners of the former include Maureen Scott Harris, Jeramy Dodds, and Karen Solie.

Experience pioneer life in Hamilton firsthand with a lively cast of puppets and performers as they bring to life the childhood of Sophia, beloved daughter of Sir Allan MacNab. Inspired by Sophia's own diary, written in 1846, this play invites students to join Sophia and her younger sister Minnie growing up in their upper-class home, going about their chores, helping to tend the kitchen garden and, of course, causing mischief. This play employs table-top puppets and shadow play, in historically accurate costumes and settings.
Young Sophia: The Dundurn Castle Diary is an original Hamilton production that is a delight for students of any age.

This BEAUTIFUL ventriloquist dummy was brought in by Ian Hunter. Purchased in the UK for him by his parents in the early 50's. It turns out he is from the 30's built by Arthur Lemare from Manchester.

Dan Willinger of Ventriloquist Central identified him for us. Made from papier mache and wood it is exquisitely made and works beautifully. If you have any more information about this character or would be interested in purchasing him please email us.

Terry Walker made the head and hands of this puppet at one of Alexander Mergold's workshops and Open Door Designs constructed a body and dressed him. A striking image!

These two "talking" Hazelle Marionettes, mint condition, Sagebrush Sal (#406) (1950) and Buckeroo Bill (#405) (1950);

RED WAGON COLLECTIVE: DONATIONS NEEDED:
fabric, wool, embroidery floss, needles, crochet hooks, old sweaters

RED WAGON COLLECTIVE was formed in 2006 in response to our desire to deepen our artistic, collaborative, and community-engaged practices through residency projects that would enable us to develop both intensive and extensive relationships in the Junction - a rapidly changing neighbourhood in Toronto's west end. We share a desire to work collaboratively with artists and non-artists to create work that inspires new conversations; softens boundaries between groups separated by age, culture, ability, and economic status; promotes the presence of art in everyday life and contributes to increasing public engagement in community development. The work we create with communities is used in producing exhibitions, public installations, and celebratory performance events.We are currently working within the walls of the Evangeline Shelter.

Image Foundry specializes in edition printing, custom art reproduction projects, and high-end photo-retouching work.
