The Toronto Puppetry Collective and Puppet Allsorts are thrilled to report that the Puppet Allsorts launch was sold out! Fun was had by all colouring and assembling the beautiful paper puppets designed by Kelly Kirkham and then watching the antics of the Purple Pirate a.k.a. Mike Harding of Applefun Puppetry. This beautiful venue provided a wonderful intimate space in which adults and children can come together to watch puppetry of all kinds.

The next show is DREAMS presented by the Artichoke Heart Collective and as of going to press is 60% sold. Get your tickets soon.

January's FOAM & FUR workshop is now underway. Next is the marionette building workshop - sign up soon.

Marionette Workshop Description

In this workshop participants, over four days, will construct their own marionette using polymer and air-dry clays. Concepts of three-dimensional sculptural form will be taught in making of the head and hands and feet and fundamental principles of painting will be introduced in order to bring each character to life. Each participant will also learn how to string and dress their puppet and basic marionette manipulation will also be covered.

RED WAGON COLLECTIVE: DONATIONS NEEDED:
fabric, wool, embroidery floss, needles, crochet hooks, old sweaters

RED WAGON COLLECTIVE was formed in 2006 in response to our desire to deepen our artistic, collaborative, and community-engaged practices through residency projects that would enable us to develop both intensive and extensive relationships in the Junction - a rapidly changing neighbourhood in Toronto's west end. We share a desire to work collaboratively with artists and non-artists to create work that inspires new conversations; softens boundaries between groups separated by age, culture, ability, and economic status; promotes the presence of art in everyday life and contributes to increasing public engagement in community development. The work we create with communities is used in producing exhibitions, public installations, and celebratory performance events. We are currently working within the walls of the Evangeline Shelter.

Image Foundry specializes in edition printing, custom art reproduction projects, and high-end photo-retouching work.
