Workshop Description
This one-day workshop will introduce participants to one of the traditional craft methods of mold making, which has been used for centuries to produce marionettes, hand puppets, masks etc. In this workshop, participants will learn how to take their own sculpted form, make a mold and lay it up with papier-mâché. Cirqular
A new puppetry piece inspired by the tension between biological impulses and the rigidity of the clock. Set in a world where mechanical time appears to govern every breath, a young girl explores beyond the city boundaries and comes upon a group of rebels uncovering a dark secret hiding within the clocktower. In this piece that investigates our relationship with time, the characters struggle between keeping their dreams alive and the inevitability of death.
This story is told without formal language. Movement, music and sound carry the narrative.

KITT & JANE
Do you remember what you thought life would be like in ‘the future’ when you were fourteen years old? In the show, two fourteen-year-olds hijack their school assembly to deliver a message: the apocalypse will occur in five years, and they’re here to train you to survive. The show is one of CBC’s top ten picks of fringe shows not to miss this year, and got 5 STARS from the On Stage Ottawa review. You can watch us playing one of our apocalypse songs on top of a dumpster here: http://www.snafudance.com/videos.html

RED WAGON COLLECTIVE: DONATIONS NEEDED:
fabric, wool, embroidery floss, needles, crochet hooks, old sweaters

RED WAGON COLLECTIVE was formed in 2006 in response to our desire to deepen our artistic, collaborative, and community-engaged practices through residency projects that would enable us to develop both intensive and extensive relationships in the Junction - a rapidly changing neighbourhood in Toronto's west end. We share a desire to work collaboratively with artists and non-artists to create work that inspires new conversations; softens boundaries between groups separated by age, culture, ability, and economic status; promotes the presence of art in everyday life and contributes to increasing public engagement in community development. The work we create with communities is used in producing exhibitions, public installations, and celebratory performance events. We are currently working within the walls of the Evangeline Shelter.

Image Foundry specializes in edition printing, custom art reproduction projects, and high-end photo-retouching work.
