BRICOTEER
WORKSHOPS A GREAT SUCCESS!
Open Door Designs held two workshops led
by the Bricoteer Puppetry Project in February.
The first workshop was held at Open Door Designs on Dupont
Street and the following week Open Door Designs sponsored
a workshop at the Dovercourt Boys & Girls Club
outreach site at 21 Randolph Avenue. Both workshops were well
received and great fun. See the slideshows below.

Ashby and Grey Muldoon, founders of the
Bricoteer Puppetry Project led a group
of participants, that included both students and
educators, in a wonderful puppet-making/performing
workshop at Open Door Designs on
February 22nd

Here
are some of the comments about the workshop:
"I
just loved it all and will recomend to others. I
got alot out of it and will implement with school
age children I work with."
"I
really enjoyed the workshop. I thought it was very
accessible to the variety of people participating.
It was also well planned out, so there was useful
information for everyone attending."
"I never felt there was a particular lag in
activity, and the bricoteers never seemed much at
a loss as to what to do."

NAOMI
KATES will be leading a workshop in making rod puppets.
Parents and children together will sculpt the head out
of newspaper and scraps. We use lots of tape so the more
hands the better. A flowing scarf or piece of material,
which participants are welcome to bring along, allows
us to create the body and hand motion effects and of course
we get to decorate and dress it afterwards.
