This
'30's channel back chair was a complete re-build.

EASTLAKE SETTEE & CHAIRS |
These
three "Eastlake" pieces are probably from the early 1900's.
The settee and the "round" back chair had been gutted
and the springs removed and replaced by plywood. The "square"
back chair still had the original springs which needed to be re-tied
after the chair was re-webbed. All three pieces needed new webbing
on the back panels and were also re-glued and reinforced.
The fabrics, chosen by the client improved the pieces I think. |
